The Jackals
In recent days a rumour has begun to be whispered in the streets. That some of the huntsmen have forsaken their honour and now work only for the highest bidder. Some rumours also say that the Jackals have members of the Militia and guildsmen within their reach as well.
Reports are conflicting. Some believe that they live and meet in the lower levels and that as such they have access to all areas of Lalenth. Stories are told of secret passage ways leading to secure locations and shadowy figures running through the streets at night. Others believe they are more subtle, leading double lives. What is certain is that like a mythical bogeyman, they now take the blame for many inexplicable crimes despite the fact that very little actual proof has been found.
